He came up with the concept of having different emotions in different colours, and wanted me to make the backgrounds to match the words.
He originally gave me 6 words, but it got tricky trying to fit them on! Sorry to him I say! So I used 4.
Okay, so when I thought of anger, I wanted something hot, red and fiery, and for that you can see flames at the bottom and a trail of smoke leading upwards. It's all slightly abstract.
Courage was tricky, but I wanted to keep things simple with only the sword imagery to do it justice. Maybe it's a bit too simple?
Maturity was difficult... so I thought animals maturing and then incorporated the deer from A Deer in Paradise which can be found in my gallery.
Finally, with Peace, I made abstract clouds and birds flying, with the colours a lot brighter, to clash with the dangers below.
Hm, I never saw maturity as being purple, but that's just me... Gray or green would fit better, actually. Green is the color of living, growing things, after all, and gray is the color of moral complexity and shades.

Nonetheless, what do you think of the piece itself? Is it okay? It's my first collab, so clashing styles can often make good and bad results...
