Thought I'd update my journal

Well, it's been an eventful few weeks actually. I went travelling around Cyprus for the summer, which is pretty standard - I go there every year! I must say though I think I've caught the travelling bug, I have so many places on my list to visit, Japan and Egypt being the two places I HAVE to visit at some point before the end of the world (that being 2012 ) !!

One particular event that really stuck with me though when I was in Cyprus was the fact I crossed the border to the Northern part of it, a part that was taken over by Turkish troops in roughly 1974 (I think). It's strange because my parents were living there during the invasion around that time, and because of its effects they had no choice but to get to England ASAP. For me, being in that part of Cyprus knowing the history that went on was powerful. It's almost like going to Auschwitz in Germany and feeling the negativity in the air, knowing the intense history that occured inside its walls.

But enough bloody rambling now! Haha! I always find myself in very deep thought! Anyways, I PASSED MY EXAMS!!, and that to me right means the world! It means I can finally go on to do all this multimedia stuff at uni and really get down and dirty with all the equipment they use in the industry! Can't wait!



Hope everyone is having a fantastic summer. And also did you see the opening show for the Olympics in China? It was amazing! So wish I was there right now

I just want to apologise for not being active as much!
I have so many assignments for university, it's quite stressful at the moment, I thought it would be an easy first year but it's hard hard work!
And also, things didn't go my way for awhile! I lost my passport and credit card in one day which was a pain, and it was on my birthday as well!!

On a good note, I had a friend's wedding to attend, which definitely was a relaxing escape from all the hassle of my life! And I definitely want to thank everyone for giving me 1000 pageviews. I know my art is quite experimental, but it's nice to see support, and I will be trying harder to support the people I watch too (though I have commented LOADS!!)

It's so weird not having a subscription!! I need to get one soon!!

One question, I'm doing an essay on the future of humanoid robots (how fun ) and I need to know something... if a robot were given human 'life', should it have human rights? Is it murder if we were to shut it down?

Apparently by the year 2050 this has been predicted, and that progress is moving forward at fast rates. I had to debate this in class - I just find it a little, disturbing? I can't think of the right word, but I suppose it's each to their own ()

I'm booking tickets to see Jack Johnson at Hyde Park this summer, but the tickets are £40! I think it's too bloody expensive for an acoustic concert. I am a fan, don't get me wrong, but I wouldn't even pay that much to see Michael Jackson (actually thinking about it, I really would!!!! ==> but you get the point??!!)

Okay so I'm back at university now after a 4 week break. It's very sunny in good ol' Brighton now - I think after the depressive rain it's about time some good weather followed.



I've come to realise that next year I'll be learning flash, and that really does excite me. What I plan to do, if all goes well on here, is animate all of the minimalist animal deviations I've done throughout, I think that will give them an added touch hopefully! But until then I'm just really experimenting with that style and seeing how far I can take it.

I really want to go into film now as well!!! - it's a real passion, I have so many ideas. Has anyone seen American Beauty? There's a brilliant scene where a carrier bag is being filmed flying through the street, and it makes something so pointless turn into something so meaningful ==> It's great stuff!!! Definitely an inspiration!!

Anyways, thanks for reading... hopefully I'll be posting some new material soon.
